Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a popular cosmetic procedure that uses concentrated beams of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair. The laser emits light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicles. The heat generated by the laser damages the hair follicles, inhibiting future hair growth. This procedure is commonly used to achieve long-term hair reduction on various parts of the body.

Our Revolutionary technology

Super Hair Removal (SHR) is an advanced technology used in Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal systems. It represents an improvement over traditional IPL and laser hair removal methods, offering a more comfortable and effective approach to reducing unwanted hair.

Unlike traditional IPL treatments, which use high energy levels that may cause discomfort and pain, SHR Skin Pulse treatments are mild and comfortable, SHR scans the treatment zone—gradually heating the skin with repetitive low fluence pulses, ensuring that you’ll experience comfort even in the most sensitive of areas.

All skin types:

The gradual heat distribution of SHR means treatments are totally comfortable, non-irritating and virtually pain free making it ideal for even sensitive dark skin types.

Before The Treatment

  • Avoid tanning beds and sunless tanning products to prevent adverse reactions.
  • Avoid sun exposure greater than 30 minutes (in the span of 3 weeks), even if wearing sunscreen.
  • The treatment area must be clean-shaven 12-24 hours before your treatment. Unshaved clients will be rescheduled. Razors are not provided in the clinics.
  • Skin must be clean and free of makeup, lotions, moisturizers, oils, deodorant, sunless tanning products, numbing cream, etc. Products on the skin can increase the likelihood of adverse reactions from the laser.
  • Avoid physical activities that increase body temperature for at least 2 hours before treatments.
  • Skin that is sunburned, hot to the touch, peeling, or otherwise damaged cannot be treated.

Aftercare

  • Mild redness and swelling of the hair follicles may occur (histamine reaction). This is normal and should lessen with time. Avoid picking or scratching the skin. A cool cloth may be applied. Do not use ice.
  • Avoid sun exposure and other sources of UV light for 14 days after your treatment. Careful sun exposure of no more than 30 minutes may be resumed 14 days post-treatment with daily use of zinc oxide sunscreen (SPF 30+). Avoid tanning beds for 14 days after your appointment.
  • Apply a zinc oxide sunscreen (SPF 30+) and use it daily throughout treatments.
  • To reduce heat reten3on, avoid 3ght clothing, boots, heated seats, saunas, hot baths, hot showers, etc. The body needs 3me to cool down after treatments to avoid complications.
  • Avoid activities that increase body temperature for at least 2 hours after treatment, or longer if redness and bumps persist.
  • If redness, swelling, or itching con3nues, an over-the-counter cor3sone cream and/or an oral antihistamine (Benadryl) may be used in addition to cool cloths or a cool compress and Restorative Gel. Do not apply ice or an ice pack to the treated areas.
